It looks like Bukayo Saka may be England’s next big thing after already proving himself a huge player for Arsenal.

Despite being just 19, Saka was crowned the Gunners’ Player of the Year for the 2020-21 campaign.

In terms of consistency and reliability, he was easily Arsenal’s stand-out performer and he earned his spot in Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions squad for Euro 2020.

Earlier this week, Saka was one of his country’s best players in the 1-0 win over Czech Republic.

Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg is a man who knows the player very well, after coaching him at youth level at London Colney.

And the former Swedish winger says there’s so much more to come, but can’t understand why other players seem to get more shine and credit than he does.

He told The Telegraph: “I don’t know why, but throughout his career people often talk about other players more than him. But Bukayo gets better and better all the time and I don’t think there’s anything stopping him. He’s going to be amazing.”

Frightening

This is a frightening talent but equally as important, his attitude seems to be absolutely faultless.

For Arsenal, Saka, in spite of his inexperience, is someone you’d back to produce a seven or eight-out-of-ten performance every single week under Mikel Arteta.

Despite his profile rising at an exciting rate, the kid seems to stay grounded and well centered no matter what sort of plaudits come his way.

Southgate’s side take on Germany in the last 16 of the competition on Tuesday and you wouldn’t back against the youngster enhancing his reputation even more.
