Fans spot Germany boss Joachim Low picking nose yet again during England defeat

Joachim Low has now managed his last game for the German national team as they were knocked out of Euro 2020 by England - and he signed off with his odd habit of picking his nose

Euro 2020 fans spotted Germany boss Joachim Low picking his nose again during their defeat to England.

Die Mannschaft were sent packing in the round-of-16 by Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane’s late goals at Wembley.

While England fans celebrated the momentous occasion, it was also a big day for the 2014 World Cup-winning manager as he took charge of a last game for his country.

It brings his time with Germany to an end after 198 games over 15 years, reaching at least the last four of all major tournaments except this one and the 2018 humiliation in Russia of a group-stage exit.

Success has been a consistent factor in Low’s reign as the national team manager.

But so have his strange pitch-side habits, which fans spotted at Wembley.

With a minute of time left at the 90,000-seater stadium, the 61-year-old was filmed picking his nose as he watched play develop.

The German then followed it up by licking the same hand.

As images circulated on social media, fans were left in stitches at the departing German boss’ personal habits.

While a third suggested it was a cheeky move by the German boss, with: “Low definitely getting his own revenge on England by shaking every player's hand now.”

And a fourth jokingly added: “Low tasting defeat.”

With a final viewer simply saying: “So is that it then, we never have to watch Joachim Low pick his nose and eat it ever again.”

His habits were first spotted at Euro 2016 against Ukraine as TV cameras caught the German gaffer reaching down his trousers before sniffing his fingers in front of millions.
