And they had a dismal Europa League campaign as they finished fourth in a group with AC Milan, Sparta Prague and Lille.

Awer Nabil equalised for the hosts on the 61st minute as Midtjylland pegged back the Hoops before Raphael Onyedika Nwadike netted the winner.

Ange Postecoglou's men now face Czech side FK Jablonec who have only reached the group stage of the Europa League once in their history.
