Former Tottenham and Celtic star Victor Wanyama trades shirt with fan for spaghetti, eight years after famous tweet

Victor Wanyama will always be remembered for his hilarious spaghetti tweet eight years ago.
The former Tottenham and Celtic star went viral on social media for randomly tweeting: “I had spaghetti and it was very nice I enjoyed it.”
The post has been retweeted 41,000 times and has 38,000 likes and was even used to unveil him as a Tottenham player while he held spaghetti in 2016.
Spurs tweeted: “We signed @VictorWanyama and he was very nice we enjoyed it.”
And football fans around the world still clearly remember Wanyama’s tweet, despite the midfielder now playing his trade in MLS with Montreal Impact.
After a 2-1 defeat to New England on Sunday, a fan held up a sign asking Wanyama to trade his shirt for a packet of spaghetti.
And as the Kenya international was walking off the pitch, he spotted the sign and did just that.
Wanyama’s career shot to fame during a two-year spell with Celtic as he famously scored in a 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Champions League in 2012.
He made the switch over to the Premier League with Southampton a year later before joining Tottenham in 2016.
Despite impressing in the early stages of his Tottenham career, injuries hampered Wanyama’s form and he eventually signed for Montreal Impact on a free transfer last year.
