Aston Villa fans send message to Simon Jordan after Jack Grealish comments
The pundit has given his thoughts on Grealish's move to Man City and the British record £100million fee involved
Aston Villa fans have given their reaction to Simon Jordan’s comments that Jack Grealish isn’t worth the £100million transfer fee that Man City paid to Villa.
The former Villa captain completed a move to the Etihad Stadium last week, leaving his boyhood club to join the Premier League champions.
He made his debut for Man City in the Community Shield clash against Leicester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, coming on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 loss.
Villa have had a successful transfer window, bringing in the likes of Emiliano Buendia, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings as Dean Smith looks to build a squad capable of challenging for Europe at the end of the upcoming season.

And Jordan has said that Villa did well to get a price of £100m for Grealish.
“There’s not a parallel universe where Jack Grealish is worth £100m and it will be interesting to see how he develops because while I don’t think he’s the Emperor's new clothes, I don’t think he’s all that he’s made out to be,” he told TalkSPORT .
“I think he’s a very good player, I think in an Aston Villa side he’s been a very big fish in a small pond, that’s not saying Aston Villa are a small club because they’re not, in comparison of achievements Aston Villa and Manchester City are polar opposites right now.

“But we will see what a £100m footballer looks like and what it doesn’t look like and it doesn’t look like Jack Grealish.”
Those comments have prompted a response from Villa fans, who have sent a reminder to the pundit over Grealish’s worth to the club.
Here is what just some had to say on social media...
Dave Jenkins : As a market price Jack is worth probably 50-60m to us Villa fans he was priceless, Villa born and bred. Our owners valued him at 100m to put teams off buying him if City are stupid enough to pay it then that's on them.
Wes : If a buying club is willing to pay what a selling club is willing to sell at then yea they are worth that it’s kind of how valuations work. Plus he had a release clause of that value.
Davy : As a Villa fan I was sad to see him leave but at the same time I understand why & good luck to him.
But Villa got a great deal here, 100 million is too much.
Paul Soares : To the clubs involved the player is worth that money. Everyone has a different valuation but to the seller and the buyer the price was £100m. The clause was put in place. The money from Sky is the reason why price tags are so high. Leave the player out of it, not his fault.
RH : No, he’s not worth £100m.
But, it’s the price Aston Villa put on him.
Man City we’re stupid enough to pay it.
