Valerien Ismael makes two changes to West Brom attack at Preston
Karlan Grant and another ex-Preston man in Callum Robinson - both hooked at the break in the week - drop onto the bench
West Brom boss Valerien Ismael has made two changes to his starting XI for the clash with Preston North End at Deepdale today.
Jordan Hugill is handed his first start for Albion after arriving in the summer, and it’s in familiar surroundings - Hugill played a prominent role in the Lilywhites side over an extended period of time prior to leaving for West Ham United.
Also in the starting XI, and the other change to Ismael’s front three, is Matt Phillips who, like Hugill, was introduced at half time on Tuesday night in the Baggies’ 0-0 draw with Derby County.
That means that Karlan Grant and another ex-Preston man in Callum Robinson - both hooked at the break in the week - drop onto the bench. Kean Bryan is still not yet deemed ready to partake.
Former Preston stars too in Sam Johnstone and Jayson Molumby are also in the Baggies 18.
For the hosts, new arrival Connor Wickham is among the substitutes, and Daniel Johnson captains.
