Watch stunning Kris Ajer clearance as former Celtic man denies Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in epic goal line stop

The Norwegian defender produced an outstanding block to stop one of the game's top attackers.

Former Celtic favourite Kris Ajer pulled off a stunning goal line clearance for Brentford against Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Ajer joined the Premier League newcomers near the start of the summer window after sending a message to the Parkhead board that he wanted to exit Parkhead from his Norway camp.


He's slotted right into a defence that has established itself as one of the best in the division so far, despite playing their first season in the top flight since the league was reformed in 1992.

He slotted a finish into the bottom-left corner – or so the Egyptian thought.

Because in steamed Ajer who slid towards the line at full pelt before clearing the ball with inches left.

Incredibly, just minutes later it was Bryan Mbeumo who was denied as the Bees striker clipped the ball over Alisson only for Joel Matip to recover in time.

But the ex- Celtic man's effort was less comfortable and came after he pulled up with a knock just moments into the match.
