Wales sit in third place with seven points but with games in hand heading into this critical international break
Wales head into a critical international break hot on the heels of Friday's opponent Czech Republic in Group E of the World Cup Qualifying Groups.
Last month, Wales took five points from three games that included a dramatic late victory over Belarus and two goalless draws against Finland and Estonia.
Belgium already appear to be out of sight in the group having picked up 16 points from their opening six matches.
Wales though have only played four matches in the group so far and could technically go within touching distance of the top spot should they win their games in hand.
That fact is unlikely to be on the player's minds when they travel to the Eden Arena, however, where even just avoiding defeat would put The Dragons in the driving seat before next week's clash against Estonia in Tallinn.

Wales have a game in hand over Czech Republic
Both of Wales' upcoming matches will be exclusive to Sky Sports.
The match against Czech Republic takes place on Friday, October 8.
Coverage starts at 7pm on both Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Main Event. Kick-off is at 7.45pm.
A few short days later, the second match against Finland will take place on Monday, October 11.
The game will be available to watch from kick-off again at 7.45pm, this time only on Sky Sports Main Event.

Gareth Bale, the hat-trick hero of Wales' victory over Belarus, will be missing for the upcoming matches due to a hamstring injury.
It denies Bale what would have been his 100th cap.
