Mauro Icardi unfollows PSG teammates and now only follows wife Wanda after spat

PSG striker Mauro Icardi has unfollowed everyone on Instagram aside from his wife Wanda Nara, who he appears to have won back following a dramatic spat and cheating accusations

Mauro Icardi has unfollowed his Paris Saint-Germain teammates on Instagram, leaving wife Wanda Nara as the only person he follows after their public spat.

The pair’s dramatic saga appears to have come to a head after Wanda appeared to accuse the striker of cheating on her Instagram story on Sunday.

The blonde, 34, then fuelled rumours of a split even further after posting images on social media of herself without her wedding ring, with reports claiming she was set to return to Argentina.

But it appears the two have now reconciled as Icardi unfollowed everyone but his wife on Instagram on Wednesday morning in a public display of his attempt to salvage the relationship.

It follows the Argentine’s update on Wednesday where he posted a photo of himself and his wife in a warm embrace.

He captioned the picture: “Thank you my love for continuing to trust this beautiful family, thank you for being the engine of our lives.

“I love you. How much it hurts to hurt your loved ones. You only heal when you have forgiveness from those you’ve hurt.”

The former Inter Milan striker later took it up a notch with another photo and a romantic message, saying: “Hold me tight, and never let go of me, Wanda.”

Icardi missed PSG’s dramatic 3-2 Champions League win over RB Leipzig in which teammates Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi stepped up to score in his absence.

He was excused on Monday from training due to “personal reasons” as he reportedly flew to Italy to win back the mother of his two children.

But it all appears to have been resolved as Icardi prepares to re-join his side for their match on Sunday against Marseille, though they may be in for a surprise when they realise he no longer follows any of them.
