Rangers squad revealed for Brondby as Glen Kamara uncertainty hands Steven Gerrard selection dilemma
The Finn is nursing an ankle knock and is fighting to be fit for the Europa League while Ryan Kent is back in contention.
Steven Gerrard said his Rangers side were an “inch away from being perfect” in their thumping win over Motherwell at Fir Park.
And the Ibrox boss must be tempted to stick with the same starting XI who did the damage at Fir Park when they thumped the Steelmen 6-1 ahead of their clash with Brondby.
But Gerrard’s pre-match dilemma over that is whether Glen Kamara will be fit with the Finn - who scored a scorcher in that game - a doubt.
He said: "Kamara had a kick in his ankle, so he is 50/50 currently."
Better news, though, is that talisman Ryan Kent could be back in action against the Danes and that is a huge boost.
The former Liverpool man limped off in the Group A opener against Lyon in September and hasn’t been seen since but boarded the flight to Denmark.
Gerrard said on Wednesday: “ Ryan Kent trained with the group yesterday, he will travel with us.”
Long term absentee Ryan Jack is also back in training but the Brondby showdown comes too soon for him, although Gerrard said he has an outside chance of being involved against Ross County on Sunday.
