Newcastle United announce Press conference plan for Friday as Graeme Jones told to face media

Newcastle United have been locked in talks with Eddie Howe

Newcastle United have confirmed that interim head coach Graeme Jones will face the media on the eve of the club's clash at Brighton on Saturday.

Jones looks set to take charge of his third consecutive game since the departure of Steve Bruce last month.

Jones called a later training session than usual on Thursday with the players coming in at 2pm.

Indeed, despite being deep in a relegation battle after a whirlwind month, the vast majority of fans are still right behind the new owners.
