Rangers player ratings as Light Blues grab Europa League draw against Brondby in Denmark

RANGERS grabbed a late equaliser to rescue a point in Brondby this evening, after Leon Balogun’s own goal just before the break had them trailing in Denmark.

But a second-half strike from super sub Ianis Hagi gave the Light Blues a vital point in the Europa League.

Here is how we ranked the Gers stars against Brondby this evening.

Allan McGregor: No chance for the goal as Brondby struck right on the stroke of half-time. Made a crucial save at his near post to deny Kevin Tshiembe at point blank range...6.

James Tavernier: Caught out of position once or twice in the first half and it took him time to get going. Not really seen as an attacking threat and needs to be more diligent in defence...5.

Connor Goldson: Still nowhere near the assured presence he was at the heart of the Rangers defence last season. Another player that needed time to settle. Better after the break..6.

Leon Balogun: What the Nigerian international was doing for the opening goal only he knows. Facing towards his goal, he stooped to head past his own goalkeeper. Positioning all wrong..5.

Borna Barisic: Another player still miles off it. Rarely seen as an attacking threat and has been guilty of defensive lapses. Replaced by Calvin Bassey midway through the second half...4.

Steven Davis: Started superbly, picking passes and finding space in the middle of the park. Dropped off it a bit before driving his team forward in the second half. Finished strong...6.

Glen Kamara: Not his best performance by a long shot. Gave the ball away far too cheaply in the first half and struggled to find his feet. He was much improved in the second half..5.

Scott Arfield: Started well and involved in plenty. Knitted the play in midfield and played a superb pass in behind the Brondby defence for Aribo to chase. Was replaced on 55 minutes...5.

Joe Aribo: Another player who started well but the midfielder faded badly. He needs to do more when his team are behind and chasing the game. Came back to life after the equaliser...5.

Fashion Sakala: Fresh from his hat-trick heroics against Motherwell, the 24-year-old was looking to make his mark in Europe. Dragged first half effort wide and was subbed second half...5.
