Brighton vs Newcastle team news as Shelvey, Almiron and Murphy start

Graeme Jones has named his Magpies starting XI for tonight's Premier League clash with Brighton and Hove Albion

Newcastle United interim coach Graeme Jones made three changes to his team to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

Jones recalled Jonjo Shelvey from the start while Jacob Murphy was also back.

And Miguel Almiron was also back after a long stint on the bench.

The trio that went out included Sean Longstaff, Javier Manquillo and Ryan Fraser who has failed to impress after being brought in from the cold by Jones.

The other big decision saw Jones stick with Karl Darlow between the posts.

Jones had said before the game: “It’s about what is doing best for the club.

“That’s where the focus has been and the players have responded well.”
