'Baffling' - Newcastle United fans say the same thing with team vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Graeme Jones has made three changes to his Newcastle United side, with Jacob Murphy, Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron all coming into the starting XI
Newcastle United will be looking to record their first Premier League win of the season when they face Brighton & Hove Albion tonight.
The Magpies have picked up just four points from their opening 10 matches and are searching for their first victory over the Seagulls since 2017, a run of eight meetings.
Meanwhile, Graham Potter's side have made a respectable start to the campaign, losing just three of their first 13 games in all competitions and can move up to fifth with a win.
Graeme Jones has named his Newcastle starting XI for his third game in interim charge, making three alterations from the team that were beaten against Chelsea.
Jacob Murphy, Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron have replaced Ryan Fraser, Sean Longstaff and Javier Manquillo.
Newcastle supporters have been reacting to Jones' selection and it's safe to say some are unhappy with Jones' line-up, with one fan 'baffled' with the team.
Here's what some had to say on social media.
@neilTheMagpies : Baffling
@BIRDHOUSE52 : Very poor not confident with that team.
@Geordie_Ash : Ritchie, Lascelles and Clark AGAIN? Anyone can see these three need replacing with literally anyone. And five at the back against Brighton is a joke. 23% possession incoming. Hope I'm wrong
@SavMondo : Should have been Dubravka, Schär and Fernandez but okay.
@DeanJohnson32 : Can’t suffer that stupid formation. Jones speaks well but clearly has been part of the problem over the last 10 months given his selections for the last 3 games. Watch Brighton’s full/wing backs cause havoc tonight #nufc
@Kristian7Ross : Another seriously strange team selection by Graeme Jones - can only hope a miracle occurs today. #NUFC
@TheCorner88 : Horrifying line up
@JohnPoulson : Absolutely baffled by this
@JonnyD400 : Half of the best 11 is on the bench
@gw850 : What a grim lineup
