John Beaton brandishes Andorra vs Poland red card inside 20 SECONDS after brutal flying elbow

Andorra's Ricard Fernandez left the SFA official with little choice after elbowing Poland's Kamil Glik in the face.

Scots ref John Beaton was forced to issue a red card after just 20 seconds of Poland's clash with Andorra.

The SFA official was in charge of the World Cup qualifier in Andorra la Vella on Friday night as the hosts were reduced to 10 men inside the opening minute.

Forward Ricard Fernandez left Beaton with little choice but to send him off as he caught Poland's Kamil Glik with an elbow while contesting a high ball.

Footage shows Fernandez, also known as Cucu, looking directly back at his opponent as the ball approaches and throwing his elbow into his face.

Glik collapses in a heap on the floor and within seconds Beaton correctly produces the red card.
