Bolton Wanderers player ratings v Crewe Alex as Amadou Bakayoko and Lloyd Isgrove impress in win
Here's how we rated the Wanderers players in the League One clash against the Railwaymen
Joel Dixon - 7
Very little to do in the first half against a Crewe side which lacked cutting edge. Made great parry to deny Zac Williams after the break, thugh slightly nervy moment before full-time with spilt cross.
Lloyd Isgrove - 8
One of the attacking stars for Bolton coming from right-back, with a delightful backheel for Lee at the end of the first half for big chance.
Ricardo Santos - 8
Came out on top in virtually every one on one duel and rarely looked in much trouble against a Crewe side which failed to create much.
Will Aimson - 8
Came into the heart of defence for Alex Baptiste and looked decent defensively and with his long passes. Had injury scare before half-time but continued and looked solid.
Declan John - 7
Got forward well at times to put in some inviting crosses from left-back to cause Crewe problems at the back.
MJ Williams - 7
Showed great energy as ever in the middle to break up play and fantastic pass which led to second goal.
Josh Sheehan - 8
Returned to the starting line up after recovering from back injury. Made no mistake from penalty spot and reliable in possession.
Kieran Lee - 7
Did well arriving into the box to affect play and try to carve out chances. Good in possession throughout.
Elias Kachunga - 7
Was booked very early on. Some nice touches and passes at times and set up Bakayoko for second goal.
Amadou Bakayoko - 8
Replaced the injured Eoin Doyle through the middle and took up some good positions at times. Won the penalty and in the right place to score second goal.
Dapo Afolayan - 6
Incisive passes at times from the Wanderers top scorer, but quiet in front of goal compared to his usual standards.
Substitutes
Xavier Amaechi - 5
Made Wanderers debut at long last in the closing stages and went to the right flank. Bright sparks from the Hamburg loanee but little time to make much impact.
