Leeds United beat Crystal Palace 1-0 on Tuesday night as Junior Firpo began to show fans what he is really made of with a promising second-half display.
The Whites desperately needed a win after a disappointing start the season.
It looked like Leeds would be left frustrated as the two sides were locked at 0-0 heading into added time.
Then, it all changed. Raphinha’s injury-time corner found Liam Cooper, whose header was blocked by the hand of Marc Guehi.
Referee Kevin Friend didn’t give the penalty at first, but after reviewing the incident on the pitch-side monitor, pointed to the spot.
Raphinha stepped up to score, giving Leeds a dramatic and much-needed three points right at the death.
Leeds fans impressed with Firpo
Leeds weren’t quite at it in the first half and Marcelo Bielsa made a couple of changes as a result.
Left back Junior Firpo came on at half time and initially looked shaky, picking up an early yellow card.
That’s pretty much in keeping with the rest of Firpo’s Leeds career so far.

However, the Spaniard improved after the break and proved to be a driving force down the left flank.
This is just what Firpo needed – a positive showing in a big win at Elland Road.
Leeds fans have been taking to Twitter to praise Firpo – something we haven’t really seen much this season.
Some felt Firpo looked better and turned in his best half in a Leeds shirt ‘by a mile’.
Others noticed a surprise link-up with Raphinha down Leeds’ left flank, claiming they hadn’t really seen that at Leeds before.
Fans now hope Firpo can take this forward and show his best for Leeds consistently after a tough start.
