Dejan Lovren aims cheeky dig at Everton supporters after Mohamed Salah goal for Liverpool

Former Red Dejan Lovren has aimed a cheeky dig at Everton supporters

Ex-Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has aimed a cheeky dig at Everton supporters after a number of them were seen leaving Goodison Park after 20 minutes of action in the Merseyside derby.

The Blues are looking to turn around a poor run of form under Rafa Benitez but it was the nightmare start for the home side after Jordan Henderson opened the scoring inside 10 minutes.

Things went from bad to worse as Mohamed Salah then extended Liverpool's lead after 19 minutes after a devastating counter attack from Liverpool.

After just 20 minutes a number of supporters could already be seen heading for the exits and potentially left too soon as the Blues pulled a goal back shortly before half-time.

Lovren took to social media to praise his former teammate and poke fun at rival fans.

"Mo is sending some fans home after 20min only," he shared in a tweet.

The pair shared a close friendship during Lovren's time at Liverpool before the Croatian left to join Russian side FC Zenit last year.

“It was difficult because I had a life there with the kids going to school,” Lovren told The Athletic after leaving Anfield.

“My wife and I had our daily habits. And when you have friends like with me and [Mohamed] Salah, of course, you’re disappointed you are leaving."
