Romelu Lukaku leads tributes to fashion designer and ex-footballer Marvin Morgan

Romelu Lukaku lead Premier League tributes to Marvin Morgan, a former proffesional football and fashion designer, who has passed away at 38

Romelu Lukaku has paid tribute to Marvin Morgan, 38, a former professional footballer turned fashion designer, after he passed away.


Morgan's former side Shrewsbury Town confirmed his passing with an emotional statement on Monday morning.


The 38-year-old was also known for his fashion brand Fresh Ego Kid, which was worn by several notable professional stars as well as musicians and celebrities.


It was through his fashion brand that he struck up relationships with the likes of Lukaku and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Belgian posted on his Instagram story: "This is some s*** news, RIP my brother, you will be missed."

Former Manchester United ace Ashley Young also paid tribute to Morgan: "Sorry to hear the sad sad news this morning about Marv. I'm lost for words, to think we was just joking the other week. RIP BRO."

Declan Rice added: "One of the most clean hearted, happy, loving person you could meet! Totally shocked, RIP @MarvinNMorgan."

While Charlie Austin simply added: "Marvin Morgan RIP."

And Callum Hudson-Odoi also paid tribute: "Hearing this news this morning is a tragedy!! RIP brother, you'll be truly missed."

Morgan was also an anti-racism and anti-discrimination campaigner.

He set up his own football team, Fresh Ego FC, to raise awareness around racism in football.
