Former Manchester United stars pay tribute to Marvin Morgan after Fresh Ego Kid founder dies

Marvin Morgan played for Aldershot Town and Shrewsbury Town and went on to create his own fashion brand Fresh Ego Kid.

Football stars paid tribute to Marvin Morgan on Monday after the heartbreaking news of his passing aged 38.


Morgan's 20-year career as a striker saw him play for a host of clubs including Aldershot Town and Shrewsbury.


But it was his fashion brand Fresh Ego Kid which boosted his profile as the world saw him as a true visionary.


From boxing to football, Anthony Joshua to Manchester United captain Harry Maguire, athletes were spotted wearing his brand and the tributes flooded in on social media as players past and present sent their condolences.

Former United striker Romelu Lukaku posted on Instagram: "This is some s*** news man... RIP my brother you will be missed."

Ex-United and current Aston Villa winger Ashley Young wrote on Twitter: "Sorry to hear the sad sad news this morning about Marv. I'm lost for words, to think we was just joking the other week. RIP BRO."

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice added his voice to the many on social media by saying: "One of the most clean hearted, happy, loving person you could meet! Totally shocked, RIP @MarvinNMorgan."

Former Chelsea youngster Izzy Brown, now at Preston, added: "Rest in paradise @MarvinNMorgan praying for your family right now!"

During his playing career, Morgan created Fresh Ego Kid and the brand grew bigger and bigger as athletes across various sports, as well as music artists across the UK, were seen donning the jumpers and jumpers.
