Ander Herrera sent a two-word message to his former Manchester United teammate David de Gea after watching his heroics against rock-bottom Norwich City.

The 32-year-old Spanish midfielder spent four years with his compatriot at Old Trafford before moving to current club PSG.

Having been displaced by Dean Henderson as No.1 goalkeeper last season, De Gea has recaptured his best form for United this campaign and produced several good saves, once again, to help interim manager Ralf Rangnick pick up a second straight Premier League win.

Cristiano Ronaldo settled the scores, from the penalty spot, with his 13th goal since returning.

However, the role played by de Gea at the other end was equally important.

Several teammates and pundits have lavished praise on the Spaniard for his performance — while his saves didn't go unnoticed by Herrera looking on from Paris.

Herrera replied by commenting "Vaya recital" on the post, which loosely translates as "What a performance".

It's a quick turnaround for in-form de Gea and United as they travel to Brentford in the Premier League on Tuesday night (7.30pm).
