Ange Postecoglou has handed incoming Celtic stars Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Yosuke Ideguchi huge long term deals as part of their Hogmanay signings.

The triple transfer was announced on with the deals to officially go through "in early January".

All three will join up with the Celtic squad in the coming days.

Hatate and Maeda, both 24, and Ideguchi, 25, have their peak years ahead of them and the performances of Kyogo Furuhashi so far since his transfer from Vissel Kobe show the quality on offer in the J-League.

Maeda is the only one of the trio who will not join initially on a permanent deal as he arrives on loan from Yokohama F. Marinos, Postecoglou's former club.

Meanwhile Hatate and Ideguchi, signed from Kawasaki Frontale and Gamba Osaka, have both been handed huge four-and-a-half year deals until 2026.

It shows the Parkhead boss has plenty of faith in his new men who will be available when the club comes out of the winter break to face Hibs on January 17, followed weeks later by a derby showdown with Rangers on February 2.
