Jens Lehmann once rented apartment to Justin Bieber - and kids wanted him to stay
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann and Canadian superstar Justin Bieber come from rather different worlds, but that didn't stop the pair striking a deal over an apartment
It sounds like something straight out of Would I Lie To You?, but former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann once rented his apartment to global superstar Justin Bieber.
Although they might seem like characters from different worlds, Bieber and Lehmann actually have a lot in common, besides the fact they've both used the same flat.
For a start, both men are used to topping the charts. The German stopper (that's Lehmann) won three league titles before hanging up his gloves in 2011.
The Canadian superstar (that's Bieber), on the other hand, has recorded five UK number ones, most recently in 2021 with "Stay".

But despite all of those obvious similarities, it's probably hard to believe that Bieber once rented Lehmann's flat in a deal that also involved former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.
Revealing the bizarre exchange in an interview with Sky Sport Germany, as reported by Bild, Lehmann said: "That was more of a coincidence because someone from Arsene Wenger asked me if I knew someone who could rent out an apartment or house to someone I know for a weekend.

"And that was really difficult, because the requirements weren't such that you can find them straight away, because he also wanted space.
"In the end, he told me who it was. I told my children that and then they said: Then he can live with us. But they thought that if he lived here, then they could live here too.
"But that wasn't the case, then he was the only one who lived here for two or three days."
Bieber has never pledged his allegiance to any English team, although he has previously been snapped wearing both an Arsenal and an Everton shirt and holding up a Southend United jersey.
