EX-RANGERS star Kenny Miller's motor was targeted in an arson attack, it's reported.

The former Scotland and Celtic ace had his SUV doused in a flamable liquid while it was parked up outside a property in Hamilton earlier this month.

And cops have now launched an investigation.

The Daily Record reports that Miller and his wife Laura, who has just given birth to the couple's third child, were temporarily staying with his mother-in-law when the incident happened on January 8.

It's reported that an accelerant was poured on the motor's windscreen.

But thugs weren't able to set the former Gers ace's car on fire.

It's reported that the yobs were disturbed before a blaze could be started.

Cops have now launched a probe and confirmed that there had been no injuries as a result of the attack.

A source told the Daily Record: “Kenny says he has no idea why this happened or what’s prompted it, the family are totally in the dark.

“It’s shocking that this should happen to them.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.05am on Saturday, 8 January, officers were called after an attempt was made to set alight a vehicle in a car park in Hamilton.

"It appears at this time the car was not damaged and no one injured.
