Alan Smith seen sitting on 'four chairs at the same time' during Arsenal vs Liverpool tie
Former Gunner and Sky Sports co-commentator Alan Smith opted for a rather unusual seating setup for Arsenal v Liverpool at the Emirates and it has left fans baffled
Alan Smith has left fans baffled after he was spotted sitting on four chairs at once during Arsenal's Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Liverpool.
The Premier League pair were finally able to lock horns at the Emirates after their initial match in North London was postponed due to the Reds' Covid-19 scare - later revealed to be a result of a number of false positives.
Chelsea will await the winner having already secured their spot in next month's final, and with the score between Liverpool and Arsenal at 0-0 heading into Thursday night, the second leg was a highly-anticipated affair.
And it seems Sky Sports co-commentator and former Gunner Smith was intent on getting the best seat - or seats - in the house.

The snap of the ex-Arsenal man sitting pretty on the stack of seats was tweeted out by author Adam Hurrey, who wrote: "You may have detected this from his co-commentary already, but I can exclusively reveal that Sky's Alan Smith is sitting on *at least four chairs* at once at the Emirates."
Standing at 6ft 3in, the former England international was a towering striker in his pomp, but for some unbeknownst reason, he was determined to seek an even greater aerial advantage on Thursday night as he watched his old side battle to seal a spot at Wembley.
While fans were left bemused, they certainly saw the funny side.

One Twitter user responded with: "This is how they pad out the attendance figures at the Emirates," while another added, "Four extra seats sold according to the Arsenal's attendance figures."
For many, the vision of the former striker propped up on plastic chairs brought back childhood memories.
"Woe betide you if you tried that at school!" replied one fan while another added: "The groundsman asked him to help stack them in the sports hall, and he just couldn't resist."
Though many clearly harboured doubts about Smith's seating setup, one fan in particular very much approved, declaring he was "taking commentary to another level."
