St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson vows to fight on as boss as pressure builds after Kelty Hearts defeat in Scottish Cup

CALLUM DAVIDSON has vowed to fight on as St Johnstone boss - after the Scottish Cup holders were dumped out by part-time Kelty Hearts.
The McDiarmid Park boss and players had to run a gauntlet of abuse through the middle of their furious fans after Kallum Higginbotham’s extra-time goal handed the Fifers a shock win.
Davidson’s side slipped to their TENTH defeat in a row so fans didn’t miss them as they trudged up the stairs and out of New Central Park to their makeshift changing rooms in a local community centre.
The 45-year-old was lauded as a hero after delivering a cup double last season and insists he’s up for the fight of turning their season around.
Davidson, whose side sit bottom of the Premiership, said: “I’m fighting, I am up for the fight.
“That’s probably the lowest I’ve been as a manager here but I want to fight, be here, change things and get results.
“We need the players to do that too.
“St Johnstone is a club close to me, so I won’t stop - I will be fighting until I get to the day I’m told not to.
