Chelsea midfielder Tino Anjorin is set to join Championship outfit Huddersfield Town on loan for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old is a target for Southampton and had spent the first-half of the season at Lokomotiv Moscow but will return to England and spend what remains of the 2021/22 campaign at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Talks have been held between Chelsea and Southampton over a potential permanent move for the player and a deal could be resurrected in the summer.

Lokomotiv Moscow did have an option to buy Anjorin for around £17m prior to his move to West Yorkshire.

Still, he found playing time hard to come by in the Russian capital, starting only two League games before fracturing a bone in his foot.

A graduate of Chelsea’s academy, Anjorin has only ever made five senior appearances for the club and faces an almighty task of trying to break into what is already a well-stocked area of Thomas Tuchel’s side.
