West Brom and Valerien Ismael have parted ways after just seven months and with Albion sitting sixth in the Championship table.

Defeats to Preston North End and Millwall in the space of four days last week proved to be the most damaging of Ismael’s short-lived reign and the club announced that he’d be leaving the club despite still having more than three years left to run on the contract he signed last summer.

Albion will now go about sourcing a successor to Ismael, at least until the end of the season - and the current favourite, odds on, is former Blues and Villa manager Steve Bruce who has been backed into 1/8.

He's been out of work since leaving Newcastle earlier this season, and has a CV packed with experience, which would likely attract the current board at Albion right at this moment.

Slaven Bilic, the former Albion boss, is second favourite and former Manchester City U23 and Parma manager Enzo Maresca is third on the list.
