Aberdeen boss Stephen Glass addresses Robert Snodgrass link

STEPHEN GLASS admitted he was looking at the out-of-contract market as speculation around Robert Snodgrass continues.

Snodgrass is a reported target for the Dons having left West Brom at the end of the January window.

Skipper Scott Brown has been tasked with selling the club to Snoddy, with the pair close from their Scotland days.

Dundee and Hibs have also been credited with interest in the 34-year-old, should he decide his future lies north of the border.

While English Championship sides are also said to be keen.

Glass wouldn’t be drawn on Snodgrass himself but did admit he was still eyeing new faces to add to his squad.

But he isn’t looking to add for the sake of it and is pleased with his Aberdeen side – who host Celtic tonight.

Asked ahead of the game about adding to his squad, he said: “Yes, of course.

“The likelihood of which I don’t know and I don’t control.

“We would like to, that’s definite.

“One thing is we do believe in the group of players that are here.

“It’s not like we are sitting panicking, we have to get X,Y, Z.

“We have got a right good group of players here.

“Anything, as it was in the window, would be done to help us not just for the sake of bringing in the body.

“As it is with the players we signed in the window as well.

“The same principle applies always. Good players are in demand.”

Celtic have steamrolled past Rangers and Motherwell in their last two outings.

But Glass doesn’t fear them and has urged his players to do the same.

He added: “It’s not a game where you have to make the running and the other team isn’t going to open up.

“It’s the type of game that we’ve handled pretty well.

“We’ll try and impose ourselves on the game as early as we can, fully in the knowledge of what they’re capable of.

“It’s not something you go in absolutely fearing, I don’t think you can approach a game like that.”
