Dave Cormack took the decision to wield the axe after a dismal 11 months at Pittodrie after succeeding Derek McInnes.

Since taking over in the Granite City in April, Glass won just 14 of his 41 games in charge, leaving the club in ninth spot in the Premiership.

Aberdeen didn't make their mark on either cup competitions this term under the boss, crashing out of the Premier Sports Cup at the hands of Raith Rovers.

Defeat to Motherwell in the Scottish Cup was the final straw for chairman Cormack after a dismal campaign.

Glass leaves the job with a win percentage of just 35 per cent - a massive dip from his predecessor Derek McInnes who boasts a 52 per cent Dons' win record.

But it's not just a drop off from previous reigns, it ranks as among the worst ever at the club.

Ebbe Skovdahl and Steve Paterson both left struggling Aberdeen sides with win percentages of 34 per cent.

Craig Brown won just 29 per cent of his games, while Mark McGhee returned a record winning just 29 per cent of his games.

Alex Miller's nightmare 1997-98 spell is the poorest percentage, winning just 26 per cent of his games as boss.
