Donny van de Beek can continue Everton trend started by David Moyes
Everton and their supporters have been here before when it comes to the loan market.
Ever since the days of David Moyes the club have used the loan market, both in the summer and in January, like no other side.
Previously, especially under Moyes and Roberto Martinez, the Blues were forced to take a punt on temporary transfers due to the lack of money available.
It is no secret that finances were tight at the club before Farhad Moshiri became the club’s majority shareholder back in February 2016.
But six years on, and the Blues were once again forced to enter the loan market due to years of wasted spending.

Sergio Aguero answers Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard question
Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero believes Frank Lampard was better than Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholes.
The three Englishmen are often at the centre of debate but Aguero believes his former City team-mate - and current Everton manager - deserves the crown.
While conducting a question-and-answer session on Twitter, Aguero was asked: "Who do you think was the best: Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes?"
His one-word response was: "Lampard."

'Very surprised' - Niko Kovac addresses Everton manager rumours
Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has addressed rumours that linked him with the Everton manager’s job.
Rafa Benitez’s sacking last month led to a host of names being linked with the vacancy at Goodison Park, before Frank Lampard was appointed on transfer deadline day.
Other names linked with the job, before Lampard’s appointment, included Vitor Pereira, Wayne Rooney and Kovac.

Frank Lampard helped Everton to most complete win of season
It certainly felt like Everton’s display in their 3-0 thrashing of Leeds United was a big improvement on what they had produced so far this season but beyond the mere final scoreline there were plenty of other numbers to back up the claims.
The performance from Frank Lampard’s side was impressive at both ends of the pitch with Everton producing a strong all-round showing that was potent in attack while also solid at the back.
Statistics compiled by Comparisonator show that the Blues’ 20 shots were the most in the Premier League that weekend, way ahead of joint second Leicester City and Southampton who had 13 apiece, drawing 2-2 with West Ham United and 1-1 with Manchester United respectively.
It was a huge improvement on Everton’s average number of 11.91 which ranks at ninth in the division.

Magaye Gueye makes Everton exit claim and David Moyes admission
Former Everton winger Magaye Gueye has looked back at his spell at the club and opened up on his regrets during his time on Merseyside.
The Blues secured the signing of the youngster from Strasbourg in June 2010 and he would stay at Goodison Park for four years, making 24 league appearances and scoring one goal in that time.
However, Gueye failed to make an impact on the starting line-up consistently during his time with the club and eventually left to join Millwall in 2014.
Looking back on his spell on Merseyside, the former Blue admitted that he cried after his final day with the club and explained why he has regrets over his time.

Everton release season ticket prices for 2022/23 season
Everton have announced their 2022/23 Season Ticket details with the first price increase for seven seasons.
Digital Season Tickets will be available for the first time for those who want them while Season Ticket holders aged 90+ (of whom there are currently more than 50) will watch Everton for free for the remainder of the club’s time at Goodison Park.
Renewals will begin a week today (Tuesday 22) and current Season Ticket Members will have until Friday April 29 to secure their existing seat, with the club once again offering flexible payment options, including a 12-month Direct Debit scheme.
Existing Season Ticket Members currently paying for their seat by Direct Debit have the opportunity to opt-in to auto-renew their seat prior to the renewal window opening on Tuesday February 22.
As communicated in October, Season Ticket prices will rise for the first time since 2014/15 – and seven seasons on from a price reduction that, due to ongoing freezes, has remained the Season Ticket pricing structure up to and including the current campaign.

Donny van de Beek names preferred Everton position after 'amazing' first start
Donny van de Beek believes he is more suited to playing in the 'number eight' role in the Premier League and described his Goodison Park debut as an 'amazing day'.
The midfielder joined Everton on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day last month, having found regular game time hard to come by at Old Trafford.
Van de Beek made his Blues debut off the bench in the 3-1 defeat to Newcastle United last week, before starting in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Leeds United.
However, much was made about Van de Beek’s best position following his move to Everton having featured in numerous roles in midfield for United.
But speaking after the Blues’ win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side, the Dutchman explained how although he can play a number of different positions, he believes his best is the 'number eight' role.

Niko Kovac responds to Everton links
Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac has addressed rumours that linked him with the Everton manager’s job.
Rafa Benitez’s sacking last month led to a host of names being linked with the vacancy at Goodison Park, before Frank Lampard was appointed on transfer deadline day.
However, despite the rumours, Kovac has revealed that he was never approached by Everton to be under consideration to be their new manager.
“I was very surprised that my name was reported everywhere,” Kovac told Sport Bild, via HITC.
“Nobody spoke to me. I want to do something again from the summer and not replace someone in the middle.
“(Club football) is really very intense. Especially when you play every three days, travel a lot and also have to watch other games.
“So I said to myself that I needed some free time. I want to do everything that I couldn’t do in the past.”

Club 'offer two-year deal' to Cenk Tosun
Everton forward Cenk Tosun is once again being linked with a move away from the club.

The report goes on to say that Al-Hilal have offered Tosun a two-year deal in order to tempt him to leave Goodison Park.

Everton release 'game-changer' new stadium statement as brand set for change
Everton's commercial opportunities at Bramley-Moore Dock have been explained in full and are described as "tremendous".
The Blues began enabling works on their state-of-the-art new home on the city's waterfront in July 2021 and have made incredible progress.
Notably in recent weeks, fans have been able to see the first concrete foundations and sections of the super-structure for the 52,888-seater stadium being laid on the site in what has been an exciting string of updates.
Everton are still on course to move into their new ground for the 2024/25 season, and their relocation is set to open up a number of new commercial opportunities.
Richard Kenyon - Director of Communications, Revenue and International Growth for the Blues - has revealed what supporters can expect from the new ground.

Jonjoe Kenny speaks out over return after 'different class' Frank Lampard claim
Jonjoe Kenny produced one of his best performances in an Everton shirt in the 3-0 win over Leeds on Saturday and has put his display down to a change in mindset.
The 24-year-old was asked to play in an unconventional left-back role in his first start under Frank Lampard but excelled in front of the Goodison crowd - even producing a couple of Cruyff turns, much to the delight of supporters.
Kenny has had to bide his time for Everton this season, with his appearance at the weekend being only his fourth league start of the campaign.
However, the full-back has revealed how he removed excuses from his training in order to force his way into the team.
