Bolton Wanderers are aiming to make it eight games unbeaten in League One when they take on Burton Albion this evening.

In a match that ought to have taken place over the festive period but was shelved due to positive coronavirus tests in both camps, Wanderers will travel to the Pirelli Stadium for a 7.45pm kick-off.

"We kind of already know the conditions we’re going to face, the pitch we’re going to face, I think there’s been enough pictures of the pitch flying around and I believe there was another game on it yesterday, so it’s not going to get any better. It comes down to picking the right team for the right game.

“Luckily for us now we’ve got some good options and hopefully we can go there and find a way to get the right result.”

James Trafford is anticipated to continue as goalkeeper, while the back three could well again be Gethin Jones, captain Ricardo Almeida Santos and George Johnston.

Marlon Fossey and Declan John are anticipated to continue as wing-backs.

Kieran Lee is sidelined so Kyle Dempsey could be brought into the starting XI alongside MJ Williams and Aaron Morley in the Wanderers engine room.

Upfront with the prevailing conditions and the type of game that could be in store at the Pirelli Stadium, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson could be handed his first start for Bolton and could line up alongside Amadou Bakayoko for the encounter.
