Chelsea ‘open to selling Broja and Anjorin in move that could raise more than £50m for summer transfer spree

THOMAS TUCHEL is reportedly willing to hear transfer offers for Chelsea starlets Armando Broja and Faustino Anjorin.

And it is thought the Blues boss is looking to cash in on the duo to finance summer swoops.

Last year Chelsea smashed their transfer record by spending £97.5million on Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan.

However, the exits of Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma and Tammy Abraham to AC Milan, West Ham and Roma respectively pulled in a reported £100m for the side.

Rumours of the potential sales of Broja and Anjorin come days after Blues owner Roman Abramovich, 55, announced his decision to step back from the club.

The Russian is thought to have funnelled more than £1.5bn into the Stamford Bridge outfit.

However, reports suggest he hopes for them to be more self-reliant.

Which leads to the Evening Standard claiming the Champions League holders are looking to generate funds from the sales of some of their academy talents.

Broja has spent this term on loan at Southampton where he has scored eight goals in 24 appearances across all competitions.

And the Slough-born striker has emerged as a transfer target for the Saints as well as Arsenal and their North London rivals Tottenham.

Meanwhile Anjorin, 20, moved to Huddersfield on loan this January after a four-month temporary stint at Lokomotiv Moscow.

And it is claimed the player is not seen as part of Thomas Tuchel’s future plans with the forward having made just five senior appearances for Chelsea.

The Metro claims the Stamford Bridge side could potentially generate around £50m from the sale of the duo.

It is thought Tuchel could look to use funds raised to sign a new central defender with Sevilla ace Jules Kounde thought to a top target.
