After struggling to establish himself in the first team in recent weeks, Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford has been handed downgrades to seven of his stats on FIFA 22 in the latest squad update.

After missing the opening weeks of the 2021/22 season through injury, Rashford 's returned to the squad and had an immediate impact, scoring three goals in his first four games back. Unfortunately for United, the winger's poor form has been in focus over the last few months, with academy prospect Anthony Elanga now looking like the preferred option in Ralf Rangnick's side.

In 17 Premier League games so far this season, Rashford has grabbed just four goals and two assists. The 24-year-old started the season at 85 rated on FIFA 22, but after one major downgrade already, the winger has been handed another by EA Sports.

After a tough few months at United, EA has warranted a downgrade to seven of Rashford's attributes based on his recent performances, with the winger also losing his 'dribbler' trait in-game.

Rashford has received downgrades to his dribbling (86-85), ball control (84-83), reactions (84-82), stamina (84-81), long shots (81-80), positioning (81-80) and vision (79-77), while the winger also had the right-midfielder position (RM) added as his third position.

But despite these downgrades, Rashford's overall rating remains at 84 out of 99 for now, with his potential remaining at 88 out of 99, but these have dropped since the game was released. In October, Rashford had an overall rating of 85 and a potential rating of 89 on FIFA 22.

When comparing some of Rashford's downgraded stats to other United players, his drop in stamina now means Rashford has only the fifth-best stamina rating in the squad, with Alex Telles moving ahead of him. His ball control downgrade also moved him down to sixth-best in the United squad from fourth best, with Fernandes' and Juan Mata both rated higher in this particular attribute.

Rashford's teammate Fernandes has also received downgrades to three of his attributes in the latest update, with the Portuguese midfielder's dribbling (82-80), ball control (86-84) and composure (87-85) all decreasing.

Cristiano Ronaldo gained the leadership trait in the squad update, Harry Maguire received a +15 in his penalties (44-59) and Alex Telles received upgrades to his reactions (81-82) and penalties (81-83), but a downgrade in his crossing (85-84).
