Worried Aston Villa fans are all saying the same thing amid Morgan Sanson transfer rumour

The 27-year-old has made a minimal impact in more than a year since arriving from Ligue 1

Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Sanson is attracting interest from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, plus Ligue 1 sides LOSC Lille and Stade Rennais.

That’s according to French outlet Jeunesfooteux, who claim the 27-year-old is having a ‘very complicated’ season as he struggles for minutes under Steven Gerrard.

Since joining from Marseille in January 2021, the 27-year-old has made just 17 appearances - and only nine this term.

Injuries and competition have made it difficult for Sanson to make more of an impression - although many Villa fans are keen to see more of him.

Some have reacted to the claim he being ‘watched’ by potential suitors:

@CallumG_Fitness: Be nice if we could watch him aswell tbf

@VillaWatch1: Villa fans going on like Sanson is the next Zidane when he’s hardly kicked a ball for us. Wouldn’t bother me if Gerrard wanted to cash in on him, bad attitude

@MogarFinley: Absolutely shocking how little we’ve used him. Been the case with far too many quality players here unfortunately.

@avfc741: Should be given a chance

@cfogarty77: I’d like to watch him aswell

Do you think Sanson should get more opportunities at Villa? Have your say here

@whiskymist82: Just hope Morgan Sanson gets a fair chance and doesn’t end up leaving and undoubtedly going onto better things elsewhere.

@ItsBenSmith1404: Think we’re gonna regret not utilising Sanson properly. Think he could be a great asset but there must be something that’s meant Deano and Gerrard haven’t played him too much. He’s just looked class when he’s played

@Benjmeister85: Wouldn’t mind seeing him myself
