David de Gea, Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane are the only players safe at Manchester United, says Mark Bosnich... but former Old Trafford goalkeeper insists Cristiano Ronaldo has 'done his job'

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes only three players are safe from an overhaul under a new manager at Manchester United - and Cristiano Ronaldo is not one of them.
The Red Devils have had a season to forget and plans for the summer have already begun.
Ajax’s Erik ten Hag the current frontrunner to succeed interim manager Ralf Rangnick and Bosnich thinks most of the squad will be concerned about their places.

The former United keeper thinks that Raphael Varane and David de Gea are safe
He told talkSPORT: 'It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise there is a lot of dead wood there, a lot of players who have been there for a long time and seen off a lot of managers.
'As far as I'm concerned, if I come in there and I see that, I'm like, 'Listen – it's time to move on'.
'I think the more important thing at this moment in time is who the new manager is going to keep.
'Out of those players you've been watching this season, David de Gea has been their best player over the last four or five seasons.

Bosnich thinks Bruno Fernandes' place is secure but he isn't sure about Cristiano Ronaldo
'Bruno Fernandes, definitely, and I would keep Raphael Varane. Everyone else, you'd have to say, is up for discussion.'
'There's obviously the Ronaldo situation – which needs to be resolved one way or the other.
'As far I'm concerned, he's done his job. He was brought in to score goals.
'People will say recently he hasn't scored many, but recently the team haven't played well at all, they haven't provided the service.
'He has done exactly what he was brought in for – which is to score goals.
'Can the other positions on the pitch say the same thing? No, they can't.'
