Braga icon Carlos Fernandes has fired a bullish warning to Rangers - insisting his old club ALWAYS score in Europe.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's men trail the Primeira Liga side 1-0 following last week's Europa League quarter-final first leg in Portugal.

Braga have had the most shots on goal and shots on target in this season's competition, with 184 and 54 respectively, while also being the second top scorers.

And former Braga hero Fernandes, who is now manager of Vianense, believes they will definitely find the net in Glasgow.

He said: "I think Braga's plan will be to be very attacking. I believe Carlos Carvalhal won't tell his players to sit back and they will attempt to kill the game in Scotland.

"And they always manage to find a way to score.

"This Braga team can score against any team. Of course, it will be a difficult game in that environment at Ibrox, but this Braga team has no fear and are very ambitious. They are coached by a very attacking manager.

"They have invested in youth and are reaping the rewards.

"In my opinion, they are getting better every week. They are certainly a better team than last season. I am certain they can go all the way to the final again in the Europa League."
