Glenn Hoddle has admitted Manchester City will need to overcome the 'cauldron of noise and intimidation' in Spain to progress to the Champions League semi-finals.
The Premier League side travel to the febrile atmosphere offered by the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano to play Atletico Madrid in the Spanish capital on Tuesday evening for a place in the last four.
And Hoddle insisted to BT Sport that Pep Guardiola's side, winning 1-0 from the first leg, would have to settle the crowd down if they wanted to progress.

Glenn Hoddle has said Man City need to overcome Atletico Madrid's intimidating atmosphere

City play in the Champions League quarter-final at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday night
He said: 'This is going to be a cauldron of noise and intimidation. There was an edge to it I've never felt.
'City have got to settle the crowd down and make sure they give nothing away in the first 20 minutes.
'(Atletico) will use the dark arts, and the crowd will buy into that. They're not going to come out to play until very late. But this will be a tough, tough nut to crack (for City).

And BT Sport pundit Hoddle claimed the English side need to deal with the 'cauldron of noise'
'The referee tonight needs to be really strong. It's going to be interesting to see who comes out on top, beauty or the beast.'
Kevin De Bruyne's goal separated the two sides after the first leg at the Etihad Stadium last week.
The winners of the tie will go on to face Real Madrid in the semis, with the winner of Liverpool vs Benfica facing Bayern Munich's conquerors Villarreal.
