Everton star's match vs Liverpool was so bad he only completed two passes - both from kick-off
Everton suffered a difficult afternoon at Anfield on Sunday as they were beaten 2-0 by rivals Liverpool in the Merseyside derby to leave them two points from safety
Everton midfielder Allan completed just two passes against Liverpool during Sunday's Merseyside derby and they both came from kick-off.
The Brazilian suffered a difficult afternoon at Anfield, as he only attempted six passes in total, with Everton ending the match with the second lowest possession in Premier League history - 17.25%. Their loss to Liverpool now leaves the Toffees two points from safety with six matches remaining after dropping into the bottom three for the first time this season.
In contrast to Allan's poor performance, Liverpool's Thiago made 120 passes, 26 more than the Everton team combined, who completed just 94.
Allan's two touches came first from kick-off in the first half and then again shortly after the hour mark following Andrew Robertson's opener for Liverpool.
The only positive was that his kick-off in the second half was the only pass he attempted after the interval, giving the 31-year-old a 100 per cent pass completion rate for the second half.
Frank Lampard replaced Allan with Dele Alli in the 73rd minute to put an end to his torrid afternoon, which also included him getting booked in the 66th minute for dissent. It was not just Allan who struggled, though, with Everton completing only 94 passes throughout the match, compared to Liverpool's 700.
