The Legends Cup truly lived up to its billing on Thursday as Brazil icon Ronaldinho and his star-studded XI got the better of Luis Figo and Co in a thrilling match under the Burj Khalifa.
The match was the first of its kind in front of the world's tallest building and it needed some serious star power given its location in downtown Dubai.
And the lucky punters who got to the see action live and in person were treated to an absolute thriller, with Ronaldinho's team coming out on top 18-16 against Figo's team.

It was the first time a football match had been played directly under the Burj Khalifa

Chelsea legend John Terry also laced up his boots again for the friendly encounter but ended up on the losing side.
Still, the 41-year-old was in good spirits at the end of the game and even took a selfie with Ronaldinho for his followers on Instagram.
Samuel Eto'o also featured for Figo's side, featuring alongside Terry once again with the two enjoying a brief stint together at Stamford Bridge during the 2013-14 campaign.
Other notable names to turn out for the game included the likes of Ballon d'Or winner Kaka, Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas, Holland great Wesley Sneijder, former Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre and more.

Figo's men roared back in the second third 5-3, setting up an exciting final round encounter with the scores level at 10-10.
However, Ronaldinho would end up coming out on top, winning the final 20-minute period 8-6 to win the friendly encounter in stunning fashion.
