Reports spread of desperate dehydrated fans having to use toilet taps to get a drink in the 35℃ heat due to a shortage of bottled water inside the stadium.

One fan though took to social media to share the help the Rangers sub bench went out their way to give during the crisis.

He thanked Leon Balogun for actively bringing water to fans and claimed the situation was so bad he 'wouldn't have survived' had the Nigerian not stepped in.

A spokesperson said:  "Even though the quantity of food and beverages planned by concessionaires was much bigger than what is usually served during a domestic sold out match at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium, it still was not enough to meet the extraordinary demand of the day and UEFA wishes to sincerely apologise to fans for the inconvenience created."
