West Ham announce 10 players are leaving club including Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble

West Ham United have published their retained list following the end of the 2021/22 season and the exits of 10 players from the London Stadium has been confirmed

West Ham have published their retained list for the end of the 2021/22 season and 10 players are departing the London Stadium.

Club captain Mark Noble, whose exit from the Hammers has been known for some time, has been officially confirmed. Ukrainian international winger Andriy Yarmolenko has also left the club following the end of his contract, as has right-back Ryan Fredericks and veteran goalkeeper David Martin.

Noble made 550 appearances for the club between 2004 and 2022 but first joined the Hammers from Arsenal in 2000, having supported West Ham as a boy, before spending the next 22 years with the east London outfit.

Noble (414) holds the club record for the most Premier League appearances in a West Ham shirt and while there won promotion twice to the Premier League from the Championship via the play-offs in 2005 and 2012.

Yarmolenko's exit comes after four years with West Ham, first signing for them for £17.5million from Borussia Dortmund. While with West Ham, he scored 13 times in 86 appearances in all competitions.

Earlier this season, Yarmolenko was left in tears after scoring for West Ham during their meeting with Aston Villa, which led to support from both sets of fans. He also scored a crucial goal for them during their Europa League win over Sevilla.

Fredericks has also spent the last four years at the London Stadium following his move from Fulham. The right-back played 77 times for the Hammers. Goalkeeper Martin has played just five times in three years for the Hammers but has not featured once in any of the last two seasons.

The quartet are the senior exits from east London, but six players from the club's academy are also departing. Nathan Holland, Jayden Fevrier, Bernardo Rosa, Amadou Diallo, Ossama Ashley and Isaac Evans will also leave this summer.

Holland is the best known of the six players departing. He played four times for the first team and featured over 50 times on loan at Oxford United across two spells.

West Ham ended the season seventh in the Premier League, which has sealed them a place in the play-off qualification round of the Europa Conference League.

David Moyes' side will play a two-legged play-off in August and should they win that, they will qualify for Europe's third-tier club competition in full.

This season, West Ham reached the semi-finals of the Europa League, losing to eventual German winners Eintracht Frankfurt.
