The stars have come out to play at West Ham United's London Stadium for the 2022 edition of the annual Soccer Aid charity match.

The game brings celebrities from showbiz and beyond, throwing them onto the pitch alongside some of the biggest names to haver ever played the game, all in aid of worldwide charity UNICEF.

Captaining this year's England side is One Direction star Liam Payne, who's overseeing an all-star XI containing former footballing legends Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Joe Cole and David James, as well as comedian Alex Brooker and reality star Mark Wright.

But it was Andriy Shevchenko who took the spotlight ahead of kick-off, as Bolt handed the ex-Chelsea star his captain's armband, adorned with blue and yellow colours, in a heart-warming gesture to acknowledge the ongoing war in the former striker's homeland.

Shevchenko scored 48 goals in 111 games for his country, and was head coach when his team bowed out of Euro 2020 at the hands of England last summer.
