The glow of a Double-winning campaign will take some time to fade at Celtic Park but it's almost time to start all over again.

Close season breaks are a bit of a misnomer these days with players off on international duty, quickly followed by a return to domestic duty.

Celtic have a big summer ahead in the transfer market as they prepare for a tilt at the Champions League group stage and their all-round preparations have been smoothed by the absence of the dreaded qualifiers.

But that doesn't mean there isn't a busy schedule ahead.

The first players are expected back at Lennoxtown on the week beginning June 27, although those who have been competing in Nations League fixtures will get an extended rest.

Preparations will begin in earnest on the week beginning July 2 as Ange Postecoglou takes his side to Austria for a 10-day training camp.

On-pitch action is set to kick off with two friendlies against as-yet unnamed opposition on July 6 and July 9. In the past, Celtic have eased into pre-season with matches against local opposition.

From there, the Premiership champions move on to the Czech Republic and a friendly with Banik Ostrava on July 13. The fixture will be part of the Czech side's centenary celebrations.

Afterwards, it's back to Glasgow for a meeting with Blackburn Rovers and their new manager Jon Dahl Tomasson on July 16.

As preparations ramp up, there's a special occasion in store after Celtic signed up to a friendly against Legia Warsaw as both clubs honour iconic keeper Artur Boruc as he approaches retirement.

And just a week before the 2022/23 Premiership season begins, Postecoglou's side will welcome Norwich City to Celtic Park for a sixth and final friendly..
