Christopher Jullien’s proposed Schalke loan transfer from Celtic could be back on

SCHALKE have hinted they could yet revisit a deal for Christopher Jullien.
The Celtic defender was on the brink of a loan move to the Bundesliga - only for it to collapse at the last minute.
German sources claimed Jullien's wages demands for a proposed permanent deal were too high.
But Schalke sporting director Rouven Schroder has left the door open for further talks with the Frenchman.
He said: "I don't want to say whether he won't come at all anymore.
"But we're also at a moment where we have to say, 'Well, maybe it doesn't fit in the current situation'.

Jullien has endured a tough past 18 months due to injury after colliding with a post in a match against Dundee United in December 2020.
He made a playing return in a behind-closed-doors match against St Mirren in January before appearing in a Scottish Cup match against Raith as a sub a month later.
Jullien didn't feature again though as Celtic won the league and he grew frustrated as he insisted he was fit to play and simply not being utilised by Ange Postecoglou, and said he was considering his future at the club.
He said: “For my part, I told the coach in January that I was ready to go.

“Now it’s his choice and sometimes he doesn’t take me on the bench because he prefers to take a midfielder who can play in central defence.
“If the conditions do not change, it is certain that on my side the door will be open to continue my career elsewhere at a club where the coach would be happy to rely on my qualities."
