How to watch Aston Villa v Manchester United pre-season friendly
Aston Villa take on Manchester United in Perth on Saturday morning as their tour of Australia and the 2022 pre-season comes to a conclusion
Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa face fellow Premier League outfit Manchester United in their third and final game of pre-season tour in Australia this morning. Villa have flown out to Perth from their Brisbane base, where they had secured slim victories over both Leeds United and Brisbane Roar.
Something has to give at the Optus Stadium; Villa have a perfect record thus far, but so do United under new manager Erik ten Hag; they stuck four past Melbourne Victory and Liverpool, and then another three past Crystal Palace more recently.
Before heading back to the UK and putting their final preparations for the new Premier League season in place, the Lions and the Red Devils will face off against one another at the weekend - and fans back home will be able to follow the game live.

The game
Kick off at Perth’s Optus Stadium, where they play Aussie Rules, football and rugby of varying codes, is at 17:45 local time - that’s 10:45 to the UK, so you can still enjoy a nice Saturday lie-in.
How to follow
You can live stream the game Down Under via Villa TV - find more details by clicking here - which will offer coverage with a Lions flavour.
The alternative United output comes from MUTV, coverage which begins at 9:45am. You can sign up to that here - although United fans based in Australia itself will be unable to because of domestic broadcasting rights.
How else can I keep updated?
We do, of course, have our very own Ashley Preece out in Oz. Ash has covered the pre-season tour from ground level to date and has been all over the claret and blue takeover in Brisbane already.
Ash will be on hand to provide live coverage and reaction throughout the day on Saturday from the Optus Stadium.
