Everton interested in Leander Dendoncker transfer with Frank Lampard targeting Wolves midfielder as deal runs down

EVERTON are keeping tabs on Wolves ace as his contract reaches its final year, reports suggest.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the Toffees' manager Frank Lampard as well as the board are very keen on Dendoncker, 27.
Romano tweeted: "Everton want to sign an extra quality midfielder.
"Frank Lampard has also Leander Dendoncker in the list, he's appreciated by board and manager.
"Everton, ready to explore this move in the next weeks.
"Contract with Wolves expires in 2023, with option for further season."

Everton manager Lampard needs reinforcement amid a turbulent pre-season tour in the US that saw his team losing to Arsenal and getting thrashed by Minnesota.
This comes after a hapless campaign last season that almost saw the Merseysiders getting relegated.
Everton have only managed to sign James Tarkowski so far this summer and lost star man Richarlison to Tottenham.
The Toffees have been linked with the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Kyle Walker-Peters, Ben Brereton Diaz and now Dendoncker.

The midfielder joined Wolves from Anderlecht on loan in 2018 and signed a permanent deal the following year.
The Belgian has since been playing a key role in midfield under previous manager Nuno Espirito Santo and current boss Bruno Lage.
Dendoncker has 12 goals and four assists from 154 appearances across all competitions throughout his four-year stint at Molineux.
The 27-year-old's deal with Wolves expires in 2023 but there is an option to extend for a further season.
