Aaron Mooy will become Celtic hero like Tom Rogic and will light up Parkhead this season insists Rangers legend

GAVIN RAE watched Tom Rogic light up Parkhead — and now reckons fellow Aussie Aaron Mooy can become another Celtic smash-hit.
The ex-Rangers star is a big fan of Mooy, who is linking up again with former national team coach Ange Postecoglou at the champions.
Former Brighton and Huddersfield ace Mooy, 31, arrives following the summer departure of fans’ favourite Rogic.
Rae, who was head coach of National Premier League side Hakoah Sydney City East, and still lives Down Under, believes the midfielder is Hoops hero material.
He said: “Everybody knows how good Tom Rogic was for Celtic over a long period of time. He won plenty trophies and also scored in many big games for the club.
“But Aaron Mooy is his own man. He’s got different qualities and is a top player too.

“He’s more of a playmaker. He likes to get the ball from defence and then spray it about. He’s ideal for that role because he’s got great technique.
“He will fit in well to the way Ange likes his team to play.
“He’s great in possession which Celtic obviously get a lot of in Scotland.
“Mooy gets stuck in as well — maybe not as much as someone like Scott Brown used to in the middle of the park — but he definitely still likes a tackle.

“I saw loads of Mooy playing in the Premier Leaue down south.
“Even before that, I watched him in Australia for Melbourne City and Western Sydney Wanderers. He always caught the eye in games.
“He’s highly rated here in Australia. People like what he’s done for the Australian national team, and I can see why Ange has taken him.”
Socceroos midfielder Mooy hopes his summer switch to Paradise will help him seal a dream place in the Australia squad for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
And ex-Scotland star Rae, 44, reckons starring on the Champions League stage for the Hoops can only enhance his burning desire.
The former Dundee ace, who is currently working with Pagewood Botany FC, added: “It’s a brilliant move for him. Celtic enjoyed a great first year under Ange.
“The big bonus is the Champions League. If Aaron can do himself justice there then he’s got a chance for the World Cup.
“Personally, I’m a big fan of Ange.
“I knew all along he would do well because I had watched him with the Australian national team and his Brisbane Roar side as well.
