Fulham and Bournemouth have a transfer window interest in signing Liverpool's former Bolton Wanderers defender Nat Phillips this summer.

The defender has been with the Anfield side since the summer of 2016. He came through the youth team ranks at Wanderers, but departed the club having not played for the first team.

The 25-year-old has made a total of 24 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side since arriving at Liverpool, scoring once. He has moved down the pecking order in the heart of defence at Anfield and could well be on the move this summer.

Phillips spent the first half of last season at Anfield and even turned out against his boyhood club Wanderers in that time. Phillips, son of former Whites defender Jimmy, captained Liverpool under-21s to a 4-1 loss in the Papa John's Trophy.

He spent the second half of last season at Bournmouth and helped the Cherries earn promotion out of the Championship back to the Premier League. He played 18 times for Scott Parker's side.

The Cherries are said to be considering making a return for the defender this summer. Liverpool prefer a permanent transfer away from Anfield for Phillips rather than another loan move.

The defender's contract at Liverpool runs until the summer of 2025. According to Goal, Fulham are another side alongside Bournmouth who are interested in signing Phillips this summer, while two Serie A teams are 'monitoring' the defender's situation at Anfield.

The report claims that at least four teams have approached Klopp's side in taking Phillips this summer. A price tag of at least £10m is understood to be Liverpool's asking price for the defender.
