Man City quietly launch new Puma third kit for 2022/23 on Roblox

Manchester City have launched their new 2022/23 third kit by Puma on online platform Roblox.

Manchester City's third kit will be a neon yellow shirt with black hoops, with the club taking the unusual step to launch the strip in the online world of Roblox.

City's classic sky blue home kit with crimson collar has gone down a storm with supporters, as has the red and black away kit, which broke sales records in the first day it was available to fans. Completing the kits for this season is the new third kit, with fans getting their first look from an unexpected platform.

Late on Wednesday night, City tweeted that their 'third kit goes Roblox', posting images of the shirt in digital form within the Roblox world — an online platform that allows users to program games and play games made by other users, with Lego-style figures modelling the design.

The club badge and Puma logo are neon yellow on the background of one of the black hoops, while the Etihad logo is in black below it. City later released a video heavily featuring the Manchester Worker Bee, suggesting the hoops are representing that emblem that has become a prevalent part of life in the city in recent years.

There are two further black hoops at the bottom of the shirt, faded at the edges, plus one more black strip across the shoulders, with a black sleeve trim and black sleeve sponsors. The sorts are black, too, although this strip will count as City's 'lighter' change kit.

On the club shop, the shirt is modelled by Kalvin Phillips, Ruben Dias, Jack Grealish and Laura Coombs, and the personalisation options confirm the player names and numbers will also be in black. There is a City badge on the back of the neck above the player names.

The associated leisure-wear and training kits available to buy online show a neon yellow and white pre-match range with various blocks of pattern.
